studio owner, pilates instructor

Christina began her love of pilates 20 years ago upon discovering how pilates helped her with years of back pain from a childhood injury.  Years later, while being trained in ballroom dance, pilates became a part of life for her to tone, strengthen and balance all muscles, in addition to correcting posture, improve balance, prevent injury and improve the mind-body connection.

After becoming a ballroom dance instructor, she actively pursued her pilates teacher training to benefit not only her dance clients, but grew a passion to help others improve their quality of life.

Christina began teaching pilates in 2010.  In 2012 she opened her own studio in a combined space with The Ballroom Dance Place.  The studio continued to grow and in May 2014, she opened her own remodeled and renovated storefront location, on Broad Street in the center of Elyria.

Her pilates training did not end upon certification.  She is passionately learning more each day and believes one can never learn enough. Her continuing education is passed down to her students incorporating new information from top pilates experts as well as therapists and movement specialists.  This keeps her classes fresh, fun and new but at the same time staying true to the pilates method and principles.

Christina's training and qualifications include:  Certified Pilates Mat & Reformer Instructor through  Balanced Body University,  CPR/AED/First Aid Certified with American Red Cross, Licensed Silver Sneakers FLEX Instructor and Silver Sneakers Classic, Core and Yoga through Tivity Health, Primary Group Exercise Instructor and Stability Ball certification and many continuing education workshops and trainings to further her education.
