Beginner Pilates Class

For those new to pilates or for anyone wanting a more in depth understanding of the fundamentals.  This ongoing class will teach the Movement Principles needed for effective and safe pilates as well as beginner matwork.

Pilates Mat Class
Instructor:  Christina

Pilates Matwork is the foundation of all pilates. This full body workout focuses on the Pilates Principles: Control, Concentration, Centering, Precision, Flow and Breath.  Small props are sometimes used including pilates rings, stability balls, small weights, foam rollers, pilates arcs (spine correctors) and resistance bands.  If you are new to pilates, a half hour private intro and the Beginner Pilates Class is recommended.

Pilates Barre Class

A challenging, fun and upbeat class that incorporates barre exercises with pilates matwork and weights.  Space is limited, please schedule in advance online or by text/call to the studio.

Prime Fitness & Silver Sneakers Flex - Mat Pilates

This is the same class as the Pilates Mat Class at no cost to Prime or SilverSneaker members.  Benefit availability is for the following classes:

Low Impact Cardio Class
Instructor:  Christina

Beneficial for any fitness level, this class will gently increase your heart rate and burn calories without difficult choreography or high impact moves.  Consists of a 3 mile indoor walk (march in place) with additional fat burning moves such as knee lifts, kicks, light weights or resistance bands.

Yoga

Yoga is an ancient practice that connects the mind, body, and spirit through body poses, controlled breathing, and meditation.  Yoga is healing, strengthens, calming and empowering.  It's a practice that offers something for everyone, any age, size and gender.  It is non-competitive, and a great way to gain flexibility.

Private Pilates Sessions
All private sessions are by appointment.  Please contact us to schedule.

Intro to Pilates Private Session

Recommended for individuals new to pilates prior to attending mat classes or full private sessions.  Includes an introduction to the pilates movement principles and beginning exercises to learn how to do pilates safely and effectively. $25

30 min Private Pilates

A "regular" half hour private session is available for those who do not wish to do full sessions.  Perfect as an occasional progress check to your matwork or schedule 2-3 30 minute sessions a week for a great fitness plan. $30

55 min Private Pilates 

Full private sessions are the most effective way to maximize the benefits of pilates. The individualized sessions are tailored for your specific needs and goals. Sessions may include mat, barre, equipment or any combination.  $60 or package rate

Dual Pilates Sessions

Combine a session with a friend or family member.  Private 55 minute sessions for two persons.  Sessions may include mat, barre, equipment or a combination.  Share the cost, share the fun!  $40 each or package rate

Location and Facilities

 

Our studio is located at 333 Broad Street in Elyria, Ohio.  It is a block East from Ely Square, the center of town.  We have a storefront location that is situated immediately West of Shane Furniture.  Across the street is Pioneer Field and you will see the beautiful large murals painted on the buildings.  It is the location of the Farmer's Market in the summer months.  Parking is free on Broad Street.

We have a lobby if you would like to come visit and watch a class.  We have drinking water provided, as well as coffee or tea, a restroom and also a changing room.  We also provide mats for you to use (which are cleaned after each use) or you are welcome to bring your own.  If you are joining a cardio class, please bring indoor sneakers to wear.  For the other classes and privates, please wear grip socks or indoor sandals throughout the studio.  Grip socks or barefoot is recommended on the mats.  Please note that regular socks are not recommended for your safety on the hard floor.

If using the equipment, please be cautious of zippers and jewelry that could damage the equipment.
